More American Graffiti

After seeing boring bad people be absolutely bored out of their mind, to the point of alcoholism and antisocial behaviour, you sure want to see them as boring bad adults, after the previous film has already killed off a half of them.

At least they got most of the original cast, to make it slightly less pathetic

To deal with dead people walking, and also to tackle events and other topics nostalgic for the writers, that happened after the characters’ dates of death, they made a non-chronological wannabe stylish mess. Each separate period uses different editing styles, different resolutions and different aspect ratios. Black bars, black columns, all the wasted non-diegetic space for 2 hours. Because movies are not art and ought to be banned. This thing keeps intercutting between the timelines, which results in a non-linear wreckage.

But at least this medium-mind film talks about events, as opposed to the original small-mind film talking about people.

For the whole run-time you just wait for the dead characters to die already, while the film mocks you, talking about them being dead, and depicting a series of close calls. And then none of them even dies.

A usa army soldier uses a modern AK in one of the scenes. Modern for the time of filming, i mean.
