Crash Bandicoot™ N. Sane Trilogy (Brief)

It’s even harder than the originals — they made the physics more punishing. Crash Bandicoot is the only game i’ve encountered where running into the camera levels aren’t disgusting cancer, yet with the reduced jump-length in this re-make, they are as bad as everywhere. (Or worse.) I didn’t even finish the first one and lost all 10 lives in this game for kids, that i’ve already beat on the original hardware ages ago.

Collecting all the boxes is kinda half of the gameplay, and doing that on the original hardware was a waste of time, but here it’s a waste of time inside of a waste of time. Playing with quick-saves on an emulator allows you to actually engage with the content. The first game fixed by quicksaves is actually great even today. That greatness was culled in the sequels, though. I don’t care about the graphics, because it’s a game, not a movie. And an emulator running the originals at 4k is already pretty enough.

I already knew the re-make is factually worse. I’m not gonna waste my time playing this, i’m not a kid with free time and no money or other games to play, and that means i will miss on the DLCs. The only reason i bought this is that i’ve already beat the first game with emulation, and plan to do that with the second and the third.
