The DLC adds one new unit, of which you can have four. You have one new building that sells upgrades for them. And there’s one new very strong and annoying enemy.
The dungeon was slightly re-designed to utilize the new unit. There are micro puzzles, and buffing totems you can move around. You can’t queue commands for the new bots so you have to babysit them.

There also were free updates since the release. There are two new weathers — snow, and rose petals. There’s a new mezoamerican location. It isn’t very open, so planning the city on it is not the easiest. Winning the game on it unlocks a very useful resource-generating wonder.
Waiting for the fuel to be produced without doing anything is still very annoying.
