New entry — new retcons. Everything this “shared universe” establishes is thrown out and rewritten in the next entry. After godzilla ate every monster introduced before Godzilla vs. Kong, by the start of this film the world is somehow again filled with more monsters.
I haven’t seen the soap(s), but they couldn’t just create more monsters out of thin air.
And the downsized unaccountable to public private corporation Monarch is constantly trying to give a good spin to all the people who are killed by godzilla all the time. They are saying godzilla saves everyone. By flattening entire cities.
There’s stupid depth of field for stupid people. The editing and the whole presentation are manic. The music accompaniment is vinegret — licensed tracks start, go for a couple of second and ungracefully end.
Well, overall, this stupid film has good pacing. It’s enjoyable entertainment.
